Friends, family don’t understand why teen home invaders were shot dead – Sad case, but if you break into a house – especially more than once – then you should know that one of the options is getting killed.  The gun-grabbing Left would have left her defenseless.

Only “Pharisees” Question the Validity of Colton Burpo’s “Heaven Is For Real”?

If Christians question how biblical the hit movie Heaven Is For Real is, well, “they must be Pharisees,” according to Todd Burpo in a recent Christianity Today article. Burpo is the father of the little boy, Colton, who allegedly went to heaven and came back. Todd Burpo collaborated with his son, who was 4 years old at the time of his alleged heavenly encounter, to pen the runaway bestseller Heaven Is For Real, which has now been turned into a hit movie.  Todd Burpo was also asked in the interview what his response would be to those who have challenged or raised concerns about Heaven Is For Real.  His response: “Read your Bible.”

We do read the Bible.  A lot.  Which is why we think books like this are false.

EXCLUSIVE: Amy Grant In Her First Gay Press Interview — I’m with the Wintery Knight on this one.  Grant equates sexual behavior with skin color and even hair color.  Ugh.

I have this suspicion of Christian celebrities, because I think they are far too worried about being liked, and far too unable to base their views on logic and evidence. I don’t think we should have the respect we have for sports people, artists and actors. They are there to entertain. If you are looking for authentic Christianity, look to Christian scholars or even ordinary Christians who are able to make a defense for their views.

THE FALL FROM GRACE OF CONTROVERSIAL EPISCOPAL BISHOP GENE ROBINSON CONTINUES – His utter selfishness has been manifested throughout his false-teaching career, from divorcing his wife and abandoning his two kids so he could pursue his aberrant sexuality to splitting a major denomination.  His pretend marriage has been followed by a pretend divorce.  Like the blind men of Sodom he continues to grope at the door in rebellion against God.  I hope that he repents and believes and that those he has misled do so as well.

The #RapeCulture of Planned ParenthoodYet another tragic example of them hiding rape.  People who kill babies for a living will do all sorts of evil things.  Planned Parenthood* kills babies for a living, they systematically hide rape, incest and sex trafficking, they encourage kids to have all sorts of out-of-wedlock sex and pretend that it can be done without risks, they would rather destroy a breast cancer charity than part ways amicably, they commit Medicaid fraud, they teach kids the joys of BDSM, and so much more. Their leaders and abortionists get rich off of death and misery, aided by your taxes.  They use some of that money to fund propaganda telling women that if they aren’t willing to kill their children that they can’t be equal in value to men.

From Moonbattery via The Bumbling Genius – this sums it up well.

Islam perfectly concentrates everything liberals say is evil into a single ideology (male dominance, abuse of women, imperialism, violence, religious fundamentalism, intolerance of perversion, etc.), yet liberals side with Muslims reflexively, elevating them even above homosexuals to the top of their caste system.

Of leprechauns, mermaids, and “loving homosexual couples” – Yep.  That term is a favorite of the faux orthodox theological Left, but it is just another lie.

The whole stands or falls, of course, on the definition of “love.” If “love” means sexual arousal, well then, okey doke sport, I guess if you say so. Or if it means fondness, affection, attraction, or a hundred other emotional and even volitional states… well, how would we even have the discussion? If it’s all about emotion, the “discussion” is really beside the point, isn’t it? Feelings are thought…well, felt… to be self-validating. After all, you’ve got to follow your heart, right? And your heart is all about what you feel. Right?
Unless you start with the fear of God (Prov. 1:7) instead of the lordship of Ego. Then, everything changes.
. . .

It is to acknowledge that our hearts cannot be trusted (Prov. 28:26 {NAS]; Jer. 17:9). It is to acknowledge that real life is only found in knowing God through His word (Prov. 3:18; 4:13; John 6:63, 68). It is to see that rebellion and unbelief are the sure way of death and misery (Gen. 2:17; Pro. 8:36; Rom. 6:23).
As we learn from God how He wants us to treat others, we learn that He wants us to love them, even if they are our enemies (Lev. 19:18; Matt. 5:44). We learn that love is not primarily about feeling. Love is about doing what is for the greatest good of the other, even if that costs us (cf. Exod. 23:4-5; Prov. 25:21). We see the grandest display of love in the Father’s gift of His son for our salvation (John 3:16; 1 John 4:9).

So, you see, there never was such a thing as a “loving homosexual couple.” Nor was there ever yet a “loving adulterous couple,” or a “loving fornicating couple.” Accomplices? Yes. Co-conspirators, co-perpetrators? Sure. But loving? Never.
Love is a commitment to the good of the other — and rebellion against God is never for the good of the other. Sin against God is never for the good of the other. Turning away from life and love and forgiveness and
reconciliation, and embracing guilt and wrath and doom and despair, wrapped in a straitjacket of rationalizations and distractions — these things are never about the good of the other.
Real love will point someone away from sin and death, and to Christ, the Gospel, life and forgiveness. If that
Christward call to repentant faith is absent, so is love.
This is one of those cases where the crystal-clear thinking that the fear of God teaches can stand as a bright beacon of witness to God’s wisdom, in our murky, fogbound culture.

Third-ranking House Democrat won’t condemn calling Clarence Thomas an “Uncle Tom” – Yet he is still employed.  Racism: Still a one-way street.

The problem with zero-calorie sweeteners – Health risks and counterproductive impacts (i.e., making you crave more sweets).  Just stick with sugar – but use less of it.

Is there evidence for Jesus outside the Bible? – Yes, lots, including references to specific events with apparently widespread awareness.

Phlegon (80-140AD)
In a manner similar to Thallus, Julius Africanus also mentions a historian named Phlegon who wrote a chronicle of history around 140AD. In this history, Phlegon also mentions the darkness surrounding the crucifixion in an effort to explain it . . .

Former NY Mayor Michael Bloomberg thinks he is God – That is, he thinks he gets to sit in judgment of the real God and tell him how eternity works.  This is a sad but predictable view of lost people.  They think they get to decide what “good” is, then do a little of it – or, more precisely, demand that others do it – then do a victory lap and insist that God must let them in Heaven.  They need to hear the bad news (they are sinners in need of a Savior) and then the Good News (that Jesus is that Savior, but only if they come on God’’

But if he senses that he may not have as much time left as he would like, he has little doubt about what would await him at a Judgment Day. Pointing to his work on gun safety, obesity and smoking cessation, he said with a grin: “I am telling you if there is a God, when I get to heaven I’m not stopping to be interviewed. I am heading straight in. I have earned my place in heaven. It’s not even close.”

  1. The Burpos’ book; money-making scheme like the Book of Mormon, in my opinion.

Amy Grant wants to be like by the rebels against God. Like so many others. Sigh.

    The Pyromaniacs article – excellent!

Yes, “racism” is a one-way street. Tolerance doesn’t exist for the Left, and if you disagree with them you are a racist.

  2. Re teen home invaders. The news clip brought to light something I’d not thought of. These people were not happy that these young men were killed. The lady’s brother will have to live with the fact that he killed them now for the rest of his life. While I don’t think these two bags of scum could have cared less about anything but themselves, their final actions in their meaningless secular-humanist-indoctrinated lives will leave scars on the hearts of those they victimised.

  3. It’s too bad that some kids have to learn the hard way, and in a most permanent hard way at that. However, given the fear and anxiety they inflicted upon their targets, and the wholesale lack of concern for that and the sovereignty of the property of others, I’m having a hard time mustering up too much sadness and compassion for them. I feel a level of it for all who go astray, but it doesn’t rise above what I feel for their victims, nor would I ever allow it to.

  4. The Robinson and Bloomberg stories should have been one right after the other, because they both highlight fools who believe THEIR notions of right vs wrong is sufficient to warrant God’s good graces. It’s all on THEIR terms, not His.
