The apostate Disciples of Christ denomination

As is common with mainline denominations, the Disciples of Christ denomination is another Leftist-politics-disguised-as-religion group.  They may have been Christian at one point, but that was long ago.  I grew up in the denomination and went out of habit as an un-believing adult.  Then I got saved by actually reading the Bible and listening to sermons and apologetics shows on the radio.  I was saved in spite of being in the DoC.  Then we left.

The pastor there repeated the same sermon each week: God’s unconditional love.  No exegesis, no truth of God’s wrath, etc.

One of the “Christian” Left wolves shared this with me:

Hierarchical doctrine was traditionally rejected by Disciples as human-made and divisive, and subsequently, freedom of belief and scriptural interpretation allows many Disciples to question or even deny beliefs common in doctrinal churches such as the Incarnation, the Trinity, and the Atonement. Beyond the essential commitment to follow
Jesus there is a tremendous freedom of belief and interpretation. As the basic teachings of Jesus are studied and applied to life, there is the freedom to interpret Jesus’ teaching in different ways.

That is a bad joke.  Using their definition, Mormons, Jehovah’s Witnesses, many Muslims and even the “Christian” Left qualify as Christians.  But the only way to believe what they say is to make an absolute mockery of the Bible, the cross, the blood of the martyrs and church history.  Only by picking  handful of verses that they think they understand can lead them to think they are following Jesus in any meaningful way.

Like most Leftist “churches,” this verse describes them perfectly: Jude 4 For certain people have crept in unnoticed who long ago were designated for this condemnation, ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into sensuality and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.

You can’t believe that verse (and thousands of others) and the “Christian” Left views at the same time.
